LEBANON - A 52-year-old Enfield man was identified as the pedestrian who was killed when a car struck him while he was in a crosswalk Wednesday evening, police officials said.
Matthew B. Biathrow was walking in the crosswalk when Emily Tyburski, 39, Quechee, Vt., driving a 2004 Jaguar sedan struck him while she turned her car on to Evans Street from Hanover Street, officials said.
Police were first called to the scene at 6:25 p.m. Wednesday.
Biathrow was taken to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center where he died of his injuries.
The Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy on Biathrow Friday, officials said.
Tyburski was not injured, officials said.
Speed and alcohol were not considered to be factors in the crash but Lebanon Police Chief Richard Mello said the incident remains under investigation.
Anyone with information about the accident is asked to contact Lebanon police at 448-1212.
