For Freedoms

“Freedom from Want,” a re-imagined version of an iconic Norman Rockwell painting, from “We Are For Freedoms,” at the Currier Museum of Art.

The Currier Museum of Art’s “We Are For Freedoms” is an interactive exhibition that runs through March 1, and is designed to spark civic engagement and civil discourse. The centerpiece is a series of photographs that update iconic images by artist Norman Rockwell depicting the “four freedoms” – freedom of speech and religion, and freedom from want and fear.

The Currier also plans a series of four discussions, including Thursday, Nov. 7, at 5:30 p.m., Freedom from Fear in the context of immigration and integration; and Freedom of Want on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 2 p.m.
