CHICHESTER — Chichester police officials are asking for the public's help to identify the driver of a truck involved in a hit-and-run crash Wednesday afternoon.

The crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. near Atlantic Traders at 263 Dover Road in town.

Officials said the driver of an extended cab or four-door, silver Dodge truck collided with a car.

The truck had heavy rear-end damage on the driver's side, officials said, but the driver kept driving east on Dover Road towards Epsom.

Police officials said they later learned the driver of the truck traveled to Route 106 and on to Interstate 393 in Concord.

Chichester Police Chief Patrick Clarke said they believe the truck driver was the same person who tried to pawn a snow blower at Atlantic Traders just prior to the accident. They released the photo image of that person from the pawn shop's surveillance video.

Anyone with information on the truck or the identity of the subject in the photo is asked to contact Chichester police at 798-4911.
