GROTON - A Connecticut man was injured when he was thrown from a snowmobile after it hit an obstacle on a trail, the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department said Sunday.

William Dawley, 59, of Waterford, Conn., sustained non-life threatening injuries in the accident on Trail 151 near Halls Brook Road around Saturday afternoon, Fish and Game said in a release.

Dawley was taken to Speare Memorial Hospital for treatment, according to the release.

Fish and Game urged snowmobilers to use caution on trails and reduce speeds because of varying conditions.
