Snowmobile crash

Christine Sullivan, 53, of Colebrook, lost control of her snowmobile Saturday and crashed into a tree.

STEWARTSTOWN -- The New Hampshire Department of Fish and Game is urging snowmobile operators to exercise caution after a woman was thrown from a snowmobile on Saturday.

Christine Sullivan, 53, of Colebrook, was navigating a series of turns on the Corridor 5 Trail near the Little Diamond Pond around 1 p.m. when she accidentally gripped the throttle of her snowmobile, causing her to lose control and crash into a tree, Fish and Game said in a statement.

An individual driving behind Sullivan was able to reach the Swift Diamond Riders Warming Hut and call 911. A number of agencies responded but Sullivan's injuries were not severe enough that she required transportation to a hospital.

The crash remains under investigation and Fish and Game asked that snowmobile operators be particularly cautious with early season conditions.
