LIVERMORE — A Greenland man was injured when he slipped and fell while hiking with his family on Mount Carrigain, the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department said Sunday.
Jeffrey McNally, 45, injured his shoulder when he fell on the Signal Ridge Trail about four-tenths of a mile from the summit around 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Fish and Game said in a release.
McNally asked other hikers to call 911 once they were in range for a signal, according to the release.
Conservation officers responded to the call and encountered McNally and his wife and two daughters about two miles from the trailhead, Fish and Game said.
Conservation officers assisted the family back to the trailhead parking area and McNally was taken to Memorial
Hospital in North Conway, according to the release.
