ENFIELD — A Quebec man suffered minor injuries when the box truck he was driving rolled over in the median of Interstate 89 early Friday, State Police said.
Roy El Chidiac, 50, of Saint-Laurent, Quebec was trapped under the dash of the truck after driving off the icy highway in rain and sleet about 12:45 a.m., police said.
Lebanon firefighters extraicated Chidiac from the truck. He was taken to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon for treatment, according to a news release.
Several pallets of bread that were in the truck spilled into the median, police said. The left lane of the highway was closed for several hours while the bread and the wreckage were cleaned up.
The crash is still under investigation. State Police ask anyone who witnessed the crash to call Trooper Kenneth McGrath at 227-0088.
