A Manchester man has been arrested after police say he fired a gun during an argument at home on Saturday morning.

Manchester police said Kelvin Rosario Alejo, 28, of Manchester, told them that just before 9:30 a.m., he was arguing with someone in his Amherst Street home. The argument became “physical,” police said, saying Rosario Alejo told them he then fired rounds into the air from the back door of the apartment.

Neighbors called 911 to report gunfire in the dense residential block between Maple and Lincoln streets.

Police arrived and interviewed Rosario Alejo, they said, before arresting him and charging him with reckless conduct and domestic simple assault. Rosario Alejo is being held before his first court appearance.
