A Milford man suffered serious injuries when he hit a ladder in the roadway on Interstate 93 south with his motorcycle in Manchester.
State troopers responding to a report of a serious crash between exit 6 and the I-93/I-293 lower split just before 4 p.m. Oct. 21 determined a man identified as Martin J. Peshka III, 66, of Milford was driving a blue 2020 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he hit a ladder in the roadway and lost control, according to state police.
Peshka was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, state police said.
He was transported to Elliot Hospital for treatment, officials said.
A preliminary investigation shows the ladder appears to have fallen off another vehicle and landed across several southbound lanes, state police said.
The vehicle the ladder fell from did not stop, officials said. The crash remains under investigation.
