Nashua police took a suspect into custody Wednesday evening at Bay Ridge at Nashua apartments and condominiums off Spit Brook Road.

NASHUA — Nashua police officials took a suspect into custody following a call of shots fired at an apartment complex in the city’s south end on Wednesday.

The first report came in at about 6:20 p.m. about shots being fired and that a male was barricading himself in the apartment at 7 Casco Drive, officials said.

The scene was in the Bay Ridge at Nashua apartments and condominiums off Spit Brook Road.

There were no reports of injuries and ambulances were not dispatched to the site.

Along with Nashua police, State Police went to the scene with officials from the Hillsborough County sheriff’s office.

Officials confirmed that nearby residents were evacuated but the suspect was quickly brought into custody without further incident.

There was no other information available on possible charges.
