A Fitzwilliam woman is dead after her car collided with a dump truck on Route 119 in Rindge Wednesday morning.

According to police, Kristine Gallant, 68, of Fitzwilliam, was driving east on Route 119 in a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox when her car swerved several times, then crossed the centerline and hit the 2009 International dump truck, driven by Jonah Ketola, 46, of Rindge, head on.

The force of the collision pushed the dump truck across both lanes of travel and onto the side of the road, according to police. The Equinox spun around and collided with a 2011 Ford F150, driven by Paulette Wright, 57, of Winchester.

Police say the Equinox with Gallant trapped inside caught fire and that Good Samaritans extinguished the fire before EMS arrived. Gallant died at the scene, while Ketola and a juvenile passenger suffered minor injuries. Wright was taken to Monadnock Community Hospital to be evaluated, according to police.

Police say Gallant may have been suffering from a medical condition prior to the crash.

The dump truck leaked a substantial quantity of diesel fuel on Route 119 and in the surrounding area, resulting in extensive clean-up, police say.

The accident is under investigation.{/div}
