MANCHESTER — City public works officials are warning commuters of several road closures early this week that could impact travel around Manchester.
Elm Street northbound will be detoured between Merrimack and Bridge street on Monday and Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., as crews paint downtown crosswalks. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes. Access to all businesses will be maintained.
Road construction on McGregor Street between West Bridge and Bremer streets is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday. Crews will be lowering structures and preparing for paving.
Road construction on Putnam Street between McGregor and Douglas streets is also scheduled for Monday and Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Crews will be preparing for paving.
Road construction on Amory Street between Coolidge Avenue and Auclair Street is planned for Monday and Tuesday. Crews will be lowering structures and preparing for paving.
Detours will be in place directing traffic around the work area in each of the locations listed above. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes.
Also, Manchester’s Department of Public Works will be flying a drone on Monday over the following locations to acquire updated project aerial imagery:
Gossler and Parkside schools;
Beech Street School;
Sheehan-Basquil, Sheridan-Emmett, and Stanton parks.
