GRANTHAM — Local and state police are investigating suspected thefts on New Year's Eve at a convenience store and nearby branch bank according to officials.
State troopers first responded at 5:30 Monday morning to the report of a burglary at the Circle K convenience store on Route 10 South. The store and gas station are located in the Sawyer Brook Plaza.
Troopers said they front glass door had been smashed in and items were taken from the store. Officials on Tuesday were still trying to determine what was taken.
Then at about 8 a.m., Grantham police learned the inner glass door at the Bar Harbor Bank at 165 Route 10 South had been shattered. A patron trying to use the ATM in the bank's foyer reported the incident to police.
Officials said it's unknown what may have been stolen from the bank.
