SUNAPEE — The cause of the fire that damaged the Anchorage at Sunapee Harbor is still undetermined, though the eatery is calling it arson.
The restaurant, located on the shores of Lake Sunapee’s harbor, announced through social media that it will not hold its annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration this year because of the damage sustained in the March 8 fire.
The restaurant called the fire an arson in a Facebook post, though no representative responded to a request for comment.
Sunapee Police Chief David Cahill said this week the fire is still under investigation by his department, with an assist from the New Hampshire Fire Marshal’s Office.
Cahill said the fire did minimal damage to the restaurant, and said he hoped to have more information to release next week.
The restaurant had been undergoing renovations before the fire.
