WAKEFIELD — Fire officials say one person was transported to a local hospital after crashing a pickup truck into a house on Lovell Lake Road in Wakefield early Sunday.

Wakefield fire officials said around 7:39 a.m. Sunday crews were dispatched to a home on Lovell Lake Road to investigate a report of a car into a building, with one occupant still in the vehicle.

Upon arrival firefighters confirmed a truck had gone into a garage attached to a house, and assisted the driver in exiting the vehicle.

Fire crews reported significant damage to the garage, two vehicles, a motorcycle, and a snowmobile trailer with snowmobiles in it.

Wakefield fire officials report there were no serious injuries as a result of the accident, but the driver is believed to have suffered a medical condition just prior to the crash.

The driver, whose identity was not released on Sunday, was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester for further evaluation.
