THE OFFICE of Community Care (OCC) summit is an opportunity for community providers and veterans to learn about the community care process and associated billing.
Areas of focus will include urgent care; emergency room visits; overview of the OCC; purchased care programs; OCC claims-processing; and the processes for referrals, filing claims and appealing.
What experts will attend?
Subject matter experts will be on hand from VA payment operations and the OCC, TriWest Healthcare Alliance (urgent care and billing), and Optum (present and future Manchester VA community care).
Where is the summit?
The second annual OCC summit will be held Nov. 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Downtown hotel in Manchester.
To ensure ease of attendance, the event is comprised of open education sessions, every hour on the hour, from 9 a.m. to noon, and at 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. Each session will cover the same material.
