CONCORD — American Legion Auxiliary Unit 21 in Concord was recently awarded four awards at the American Legion Department of New Hampshire’s 99th annual combined convention for the Legion, Auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion.

The event was held in Manchester.

Trophies are awarded for reports submitted by Auxiliary units on specific topics, and the reports are then judged by department and district officers.

Unit 21 took home the Beulah Tasker Trophy for best education report, the Poppy Trophy for the best poppy program and participation in one or more poppy contests, the Greer Melvin Fogg Trophy for best all-around reporting in District 5, and an award for the unit’s Americanism report.

Receiving the trophies were Unit 21 President Charlene Mayo, Second Vice President Cindy Young, Historian Suzanne Isabelle and Chaplain Cathy Babson.The awards will remain on display with Unit 21 at the Concord post, 7 Perley St., until the next state convention in 2020.
