Veterans History Project needs tales
U.S. Rep. Annie Kuster announced Feb. 13 that her office is seeking the stories of Granite State veterans for the Veterans History Project.
The project, which is run by the Library of Congress American Folklife Center, collects and preserves the stories of American war veterans so that future generations can hear about the realities of war directly from those who have served.

Sununu announces new department
CONCORD — Gov. Chris Sununu announced last Thursday the formation of the Department of Military Affairs and Veterans Services.
This department will combine the Adjutant General’s Department, the Office of Veterans Services, and the Bureau of Community Based Military Programs into one department, in an effort to reduce redundancies and provide efficiencies by creating a one-stop shop to provide veterans with their care and services.
