MANCHESTER — Passionate about veterans’ issues, high school senior Allison Ouellette is using her senior project requirement as an opportunity to serve the veteran community.

All are invited to “Educate. Honor. Support.” on Nov. 11 from 10 a.m. to noon at The Founders Academy Public Charter School, where Ouellette is a student.

The event, planned by Ouellette, a Merrimack resident, will feature a continental breakfast and a discussion on how we can better support our local veteran communities.

It is suggested that attendees donate $50. All donations go straight to Liberty House.

Ouellette’s goal is to raise $5,000 for Liberty House, a city haven for veterans who are struggling with homelessness. Liberty House offers these veterans a place to live while they get back on their feet. Liberty House doesn’t accept any government funding, relying on the generosity of the community to support its endeavors.
