WASHINGTON — U.S. Sens. Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., and Joe Manchin, D-W.V., have introduced a resolution to honor the 75th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge.

“Now therefore be it resolved,” the resolution states, “that the Senate commemorates, on December 16, 2019, the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge in World War II; recognizes the valiant efforts of the various Allied Forces; and remembers the individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice, which contributed to the Allied victory in the European Theater.”Sen. Maggie Hassan, D-N.H., joined in introducing the resolution.

Hassan’s father fought in the Battle of the Bulge, and earlier this year, Hassan joined a bipartisan Senate delegation to Normandy, France, for the 75th anniversary of the D-Day invasion by Allied Forces during World War II.
