DERRY — Famed Irish ensemble Childsplay, featuring vocalist Karan Casey of the supergroup Solas, will play the Stockbridge Theatre at Pinkerton Academy at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14.

It’s part of a salute to the 300th anniversary of the founding of Derry/Londonerry, when the first European Scots-Irish settlers arrived in New Hampshire.

Childsplay is a community of dancers, vocalists and musicians, with fiddlers all playing instruments hand-crafted for them by Cambridge, Mass.-based master violin maker Bob Childs. As a special tribute to Nutfield (the old name for Derry/ Londonderry), Childsplay plans to feature a repertoire influenced by the music of the Scots and Irish. This is Childsplay’s first New Hampshire performance in its 25-year history.

Performers include Scottish National Fiddle Champion Hanneke Cassel, Lissa Schneckenburger, Katie McNally and dancer Maureen Berry, who was featured in a video produced by Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones.

Tickets range from $20 to $35.
