CONCORD - Area favorites Brooks Young Band will be opening for classic rock legends Blue Oyster Cult at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Capitol Center for the Arts, 44 S. Main St.

BOC's hits from the past four decades include the haunting“(Don't Fear) The Reaper,” the pummeling “Godzilla” and the hypnotically melodic “Burnin' for You.”

Concord's own Brooks Young Band saturate their songs with a rock ‘n' roll edge and blues feel.

The group has toured throughout the country, headlining and sharing the stage with music icons such as B.B.King, Bryan Adams, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Huey Lewis and the News, The Wallflowers, Styx and Robert Cray, among others.

Tickets are $35 to $55. For information, call 225-1111 or visit ccanh.com.

The band has posted on its social media that a documentary titled “We Can Make It” is in the works for release this year.
