Lucy Kaplansky takes a walk along 'Everyday Street'

Lucy Kaplansky will play the Flying Goose Brew Pub and Grill, 40 Andover Road, New London at 8 p.m. today ($25) and The Loft, 131 Congress St., Portsmouth, at 8 p.m. Friday ($30). On her new album, “Everyday Street,” she teamed with multi-instrumentalist Duke Levine (J. Geils Band, Mary Chapin Carpenter). It's her most acoustically based release thus far. It features songs co-written with her husband, Richard Litvin, and harmonies by Shawn Colvin on the tunes “Old Friends” and Richard Shindell on “Keeping Time.”

Lucy Kaplansky is doing two New Hampshire shows this week in support of her new album, “Everyday Street.”

She’ll play the Flying Goose Brew Pub and Grill, 40 Andover Road, New London at 8 p.m. Thursday ($25) and The Loft, 131 Congress St., Portsmouth, at 8 p.m. Friday ($30).

The Greenwich Village musician teamed with multi-instrumentalist Duke Levin (J. Geils Band, Mary Chapin Carpenter) on the new album, her most acoustically-based one so far.
