CONTOOCOOK — Try out bikejoring and canicross — mountain biking and cross-country running with a dog — at the Northern New England Sled Dog Trade Fair and Seminars at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds Saturday and Sunday.

The fair, which has been held for the past 25 years in New England, typically draws attendees from as far away as Ohio and New Jersey.

Featured speaker this year is Matthew Failor of Willow Alaska, a multiple-time Iditarod finisher and winner of the 2019 Kuskokwim 300 Sled Dog Race.

This weekend’s seminars will focus on topics including common canine behavior problems.

The vendor hall will feature dog sleds, harnesses, leashes, collars, dryland rigs and other equipment as well as dog-themed gifts, hand-crafted items and clothing.

Sunday morning features an open dry-land race.

Admission is $10 for adults for Saturday or $15 for both days. It’s free for kids under 16. For more information, visit sleddogtradefair.org.
