Elliot: The Little Reindeer screens in Jaffrey

Elliot may not be as big as other reindeer, but he has a huge heart in Jennifer Westcott’s new family holiday movie “Elliot: The Littlest Reindeer.”

JAFFREY — Say hello to a good-hearted miniature horse who dreams of pulling Santa’s sleigh.

‘Elliot: The Littlest Reindeer,’ a new holiday family film, will screen at The Park Theatre’s River Street Theatre, 6 River St., at 2 and 6 p.m. Saturday.

Elliot, voiced by Josh Hutcherson, gets the chance to audition for the job when well-known reindeer Blitzen retires, but troubles on his farm force him to choose between saving Christmas or helping his best friends.

Jennifer Westcott wrote and directed this heartfelt animated film, which also features the voices of Samantha Bee, Martin Short, John Cleese, Morena Baccarin and Jeff Dunham. The film is rated PG.

The first 20 children (12 and under) at each screening will receive free Elliot Reindeer Antler Headbands.

Tickets are $5 for children 12 and younger and $8 for others; cost for seniors, military, students and teachers are $7. For information, call 532-8888 or go to RiverSt.org
