March 17: Spring Awakening: Still Images on Squam, 1 p.m., Squam Lakes Association, 534 US Route 3, Holderness. Outdoor still life image sketching using inanimate objects from nature as models. The program is for all ages. Minors need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian. There will be a kid’s station for drawing/coloring as well as a mini-scavenger hunt. March 17: Volunteer: Trail Work Day, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Squam Lakes Association, 534 US Route 3, Holderness. Focus on clearing waterbars, removing blowdowns, clearing branches that encroach within the trail corridor, and brushing in portions of the trail where the path is unclear. March 20: Guided Hike: Mt. Webster, 9 a.m., Mt. Morgan Trailhead, Route 113, Holderness. Participants will meet at the Mt. Morgan trailhead off Route 113. From there hike the Mt. Morgan trail up to the Crawford-Ridgepole trail, over to Mt. Webster. Total distance hiked will be roughly 4.8 miles. This is a longer hike that is moderate in difficulty. Participants should bring appropriate clothing, water, food, and snowshoes and/or micro-spikes depending on conditions. This hike is for anyone capable of hiking roughly 5 miles in snowy conditions. March 23: Snowshoe Yoga, 10 a.m.-noon, Prescott Farm Environmental Education Center, 928 White Oaks Road, Laconia. Hike for a bit to warm up before doing yoga in snowshoes outside in the fresh air. We will finish by learning about and practicing a walking meditation. $22.50-$25. ID: 7547302.
