PORTSMOUTH — Strawbery Banke Museum, which highlights more than 300 years of Seacoast life, hosts an Old-Fashioned Field Day and Naturalization Ceremony from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday.

There will be free admission all day as America welcomes new citizens.

Visitors are invited to learn games played throughout the centuries, such as croquet, marbles and hula hoops.

Afterwards, there will be a patriotic parade at 2 p.m. Children can decorate their bikes, wagons or hats during the day.

The museum also will be open throughout the weekend from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, with regular admission fees applied. The historic houses will be open, costumed role players will be on the grounds and demonstrations of weaving, hearth-cooking, basket weaving are planned.

Strawbery Banke is a Blue Star Museum, so active duty military and their families don’t pay admission fees. For more details, visit strawberybanke.org or call 433-1100.
