The Mahrajan Middle Eastern Festival will be held at Our Lady of the Cedars Church in Manchester on Friday from 5-9 p.m., Saturday from 12-9 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. Mahrajan is a cultural celebration like no other. Admission is free.
The Mahrajan Middle Eastern Festival is a cultural celebration that just has it all - and it's no wonder - the word Mahrajan is Arabic for a wicked good time! Featuring delicious Middle Eastern food, music, and dancing, music by D.J. Kibar on Friday, Mitchell Kaltsunas & Ensemble on Saturday and George Maalouf and band on Sunday. The kids will enjoy plenty of games, face painting, a bouncy slide, and a petting farm. There will also be hookah rentals, backgammon and a gift bazaar for adults. Food is prepared fresh and includes Middle Eastern favorites such as lamb, beef, and chicken kabobs, shawarma, falafel, kibbeh, hummus, tabbouleh, and pastries. There will also be American festival foods like hamburgers, hotdogs, and fries. This is a family-oriented outing for the entire community to enjoy.
