Social media in New England were alive as of Sunday night with people commenting on how we will never see the like of it again: Six Super Bowl championships for the New England Patriots, on top of another World Series victory for the Boston Red Sox.

Enjoy it while we can, they said. But flip that around. What happens if the Pats and Sox don’t stop winning? Could it be that the curse has been more or less permanently reversed?

That would be something nice to worry about, calls from New York City, and other places, to “break up Boston.”

For now, New England sports fans, including oldsters who still recall the bad old days, and years, can enjoy an amazing run by the Kraft-owned football teams that have, in Bill Belichick, one of the best coaches in athletics, ever.

And of course there is also that guy, Tom Brady, the G.O.A.T.

When does spring training begin?
