To the Editor: Let’s boycott the Super Bowl by celebrating our flag during it. I read on Facebook: I’ll not allow a Super Bowl commercial made by veterans that ask people to stand for the flag. Boycott the Super Bowl.
By that logic, it is all right to protest against the flag, but it is not right to protest for it. I will not be watching this year. My team will be wearing CAMOUFLAGE.
At 76, I have in the past and now (and) in the future believe it is time to speak out and we should organize a national protest on Super Bowl Sunday.
The protest should consist of everyone holding an American flag and having our national anthem sung at all places that participate in the protest.
We should do this at the same time the game is played and have our own honoring Old Glory and more patriotic songs.
I would love all of you who have read this to tell your friends, veterans and our politicians.
I am not sure some of them even care. I would love having some help in making this go national. Another organization that could be involved is the NRA.
The same liberals that don’t think we need to honor our flag are the same ones that want to take our guns. I would love to start our own Facebook page and we could go national. God bless our flag and God bless America.
