A teacher for Pappas
To the Editor: As a life-long Granite Stater, Chris Pappas has excelled at connecting and meeting with people across New Hampshire. Countless voters in the First District (and beyond) have the pleasure of calling Chris a friend, and I am no exception.
However, I got to meet Chris through a different platform than most: I had the privilege of being his English teacher.
For anyone who knows him, it will come as no surprise to learn that Chris excelled in school. Chris was an avid learner, curious about all aspects of the subject at hand and thoughtfully completing the task before him. He was a pleasure to have as a student.
I am glad to see that he’s stayed true to these values as he serves as our member of Congress. And I’m grateful that his work ethic is as strong as ever.
Once he was elected, Chris wasted no time getting right to work. In fact, on his very first day in Washington, he voted to allow the House to throw its full legal weight behind the Affordable Care Act.
Since then, Congressman Pappas has co-sponsored several bills to lower the cost of prescription drugs, offered amendments to address toxic PFAS chemicals and been an incredible advocate for veterans.
Chris keeps his word and gets the job done — just like he always has.
