To the Editor: On the abolition of the death penalty for capital crimes in New Hampshire:
This was a stupid piece of legislation enacted by the SS Party, which subjects law enforcement and correctional officers to being murdered by prison inmates already serving life sentences without possibility of parol. Other inmates are also at risk of being murdered by the same group of characters.
As a member of a family which has cops, anything which endangers my family members or any other law enforcement officer I find personally offensive.
The current group of legislators in Concord do not represent we the people but an agenda which harms and hurts individuals. This is a party which has consistently shown disregard for the laws of our state and nation. Their anti-law enforcement actions have produced riots, violent demonstrations and resulted in destruction of property and maiming of citizens.
Free speech has been assaulted. The classical liberal as represented by Voltaire who stated: “I may disagree with everything you may say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it,” has been replaced by the illiberal who says “ I may disagree with everything you say, and you may not say it”.
Again, blue lives matter and targets should not be placed on the backs of those who serve and protect.
