Kuster abortion rhetoric misleads and divides us

To the Editor: In her weekly newsletter, Rep. Ann McLane Kuster states that Republicans want “to strip women of their constitutional right to abortion.” I find two falsehoods in that one statement. First, the Republicans are not fully opposed to abortion, many just don’t want the government to fund it either directly or indirectly by supporting Planned Parenthood.

Second, the U.S. Constitution does not mention abortion. That was a decision by the Supreme Court based upon ignorance. Ann continues to shade the truth and misguide the public with her statements. She needs to be replaced.
