To the Editor: All the hubbub about dogs in restaurants...leave your dog or pet at home. I have had two dogs in my life and my three children still all have rescue dogs of their own. Never would they infringe upon other peoples’ dining experience by bringing their pets to a restaurant or anywhere in public.
Recently my wife and I ate at a downtown Manchester restaurant with an outdoor patio. This person had a small dog on a blanket right beside our table. The women kept feeding the dog off her plate by hand. Her behavior was repulsive. It ruined our dining experience. The restaurant was full so we could not move even if we wanted to. Besides, we were there first.
You have a right to own a pet but never should your right to own infringe upon my rights to not. Pet owners, keep your pets home and out of the public. Non-pet-owners have rights also.
