Living with a budget

To the Editor: Like so many Manchester families, our family lives on a limited budget. My husband works extremely hard to support our family, and every month, we are fiscally responsible. Shouldn’t our city’s government be the same way? Year after year, we hear campaigning politicians telling us that they will be prudent with our money. But when they get into office, they quickly forget about fiscal responsibility. That’s exactly what Manchester Mayor Joyce Craig did when she deceived us and allowed the tax cap to get overridden. Families like mine will have our limited budgets strained even more because of our city government’s refusal to live within its means. I am tired of politicians breaking the tax cap. That is why, the next election, I am voting for a mayor who will support the tax cap. I’m voting for Victoria Sullivan.
