To the Editor: I must also agree with letter writers Richard Waldron (Oct. 21, 2019) and Raymond Shakir (Oct. 22, 2019).
I am yet another soon-to-be former subscriber of the Union Leader, which has unfortunately become little more than a mouthpiece for liberal rags such as the New York Times and Washington Post by republishing the aforementioned’s blatantly slanted and biased “news articles” on a daily basis.
We all get enough of the liberal media’s twisted bias and outright lies each day on their nightly “news” broadcasts.
There is no greater disservice to readers of the Union Leader than to publish these carefully crafted “news reports” that are so predominantly based on quotes from “unnamed sources,” nearly all of whom speak “on condition of anonymity” which only serves to facilitate fabricated conclusions of wet-behind-the-ears, so-called “journalists” attempting to disguise their personal opinions (or those of their superiors), and sway their readers to their own points of view (or, again, the views of their superiors).
The Union Leader needs to recognize that their readers want FACTS, not conjecture or opinion, when reading what are alleged to be “news reports” so as to reach informed opinions of their own.
I, for one, will not be renewing my Union Leader subscription.
