Stand up, be counted
To the Editor: Once again voters are being ignored by elected officials. Both the New Hampshire Legislature and the U.S. Congress appear to be tone deaf when dealing with issues important to the public.
In Washington D.C., our House of Representatives is talking about open borders and decriminalization of illegal border crossings. They also want to insist on matching spending for social programs with military and Homeland Security spending. In the meantime, they take no action on the trade deal USMCA and other issues that help the country.
They dislike the President so much they refuse to pass legislation he favors even if it is good for the people. The behavior is mirrored in Concord. How can we tell it is an election year? Budget fights and educational structuring, criminal justice, pot legalization just to name a few.
It is time to send a message “get to work or get out.” It is time for voters to stand up and be counted.
