To the Editor: The recent lawsuit that Governor Sununu and the New Hampshire DOJ filed against major chemical companies is exactly what the people of New Hampshire want. Governor Sununu is not only seeking to protect and secure the quality of drinking water across the state, he is also taking care of our fragile environment and asserting that he will not allow large, out-of-state mega-corporations to take advantage of the New Hampshire taxpayer.
The PFAS contamination across the state has unjustly forced a burden on many unsuspecting families and drastically impacted their lives. With the filing of this lawsuit, the governor is taking care of his constituents through listening to our concerns about both our personal lives and the well-being of our beautiful state as a whole.
These scheming corporations have gotten away with poisoning people for too long — it is time that they pay for their negligence.
With the governor’s lawsuit the corporations will have to pay for all the harm that they have caused to Granite Staters.
People across New Hampshire stand by Governor Sununu’s side as a single community ready to fight for our right to live a life free from immoral burdens placed on us by corporations only interested in profit.
