Letter: Thanks from Webster House

To the Editor: The executive director of Webster House and the president of its board of directors want to thank everyone for another great year helping children.

Webster House, a children’s home located in Manchester, provides a safe, supportive home for children who are unable to live at home. This has been our mission since 1884 and we strive to continue to offer all we can for those children who come to live with us.

We are blessed with the many friends and supporters who help us out, help us bridge the budget gap. We are all thankful for the giving spirit that is alive and well in New Hampshire. It makes all the difference in the world for us and for countless non-profits throughout the state.

We are thankful for the hard-working, dedicated staff who always go above and beyond in meeting the children’s needs. A more caring group would be hard to find. We are also thankful for our hard-working board who are committed to the children and the house’s mission. We are thankful for the many friends in the community, the individuals, local businesses and local foundations who believe in what we do and help us financially with their donations.

This year we saw a former resident donate funds to help with our flooring project, our summer program and use of their time share. Priceless!

Thanks, and wishing all a great Holiday Season.
