Executive Editor

Union Leader Corporation is looking for a dynamic, experienced journalist to take the leadership role of Executive Editor in our newsroom. This role will be responsible for leading other managing editors, copy editors and reporters through the evolving newsroom as we move through the digital age. The successful candidate will be highly collaborative with staff and other departments determining content and topics, reviewing writing styles and identifying potential legal issues, addressing these legal issues if they arise. This person will also be responsible for the development of long-term objectives for newsroom and be active in the community maintaining a good rapport with all consumers of our products.

Our ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in journalism with a minor in business administration or the equivalent experience. This person will also have a minimum of five years of experience managing a team of professionals and will be able to demonstrate leadership ability. Past experience with financial budgeting is also required.

 New Hampshire Union Leader is seeking:

Circulation Part-Time Driver

A vacancy exists in the Circulation Department for a Part-Time Driver. This position is responsible for providing outstanding customer service by ensuring all newspaper deliveries within multiple areas are timely and within established

standards. This includes responding to customer complaints and resolving delivery problems.

Early morning and/or weekend hours, 20-28 hours per week.

Qualifications Include:

  • High school or equivalency.
  • Computer experience necessary.
  • Familiarity with a smart phone and/or tablet technologies.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment to achieve goals and complete work on time. Good interpersonal, communication and customer service.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record, reliable transportation and current auto insurance. Good map-reading skills.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 30 pounds.
