Riley Adams' two-run single lifted the New Hampshire Fisher Cats to a 4-2 win over the Richmond Flying Squirrels on Friday night in Richmond, Va.
Chad Spanberger led off the ninth with a walk, and advanced to third on Vinny Capra's double. Adams delivered his big hit with two out.
New Hampshire trailed 2-1 win the seventh when Nash Knight singled home Capra to tie the game.
Richmond's Gio Brusa staked the Squirrels to a 1-0 lead on a solo homer in the second, but New Hampshire's Santiago Espinal answered in the fifth with a homer of his own. Richmond's Jalen Miller scored Brandon Van Horn with an RBI groundout in the bottom of the fifth to restore Richmond's lead.
Jon Harris (1-0) went three innings of scoreless relief of Zach Logue to get the win. Logue went five innings, allowing two runs on four hits. He walked three and struck out five. Vinny Nittoli earned his first save of the year, striking out two in the ninth.
The teams play again Saturday at 6:05 p.m.
