BOSTON -- David Krejci missed the Bruins Stanley Cup tune-up scrimmage with an illness on Thursday night, but Boston coach Bruce Cassidy wasn't concerned.
"He showed up tonight with a fever so we sent him home. Precautionary to not be around the guys," Cassidy said.
With no numbers on the scrimmage's practice jerseys, it was hard to notice Krejci's absence.
The Bruins are taking Friday off. Krejci is expected to practice Saturday and play in Game 1 Monday against the St. Louis Blues at 8 p.m. at TD Garden.
