The Dartmouth College men's hockey team is still looking for a rhythm after a 5-1 loss to sixth-ranked Quinnipiac in ECAC Hockey action on Friday in Hamden, Conn.

The Big Green (5-8-2, 4-3-1 ECAC) had a 1-0 lead after one period courtesy of Daniel Warpecha, but the Bobcats, coached by Bedford native Rand Pecknold, took care of the rest of the scoring with three second-period goals and two more in the third.

Dartmouth, 1-6-1 in its last eight contests, plays Saturday night at Princeton.

Women's hockey

UConn 2, UNH 0: In Storrs, Conn., the Wildcats (8-10-4, 5-9-1 HE) went 0-for-6 on the power play while having their nine-game unbeaten streak snapped by the Huskies. UNH played down 1-0 for the entire game until UConn netted an empty-net goal in the final minute.

UNH goalie Kyra Smith stopped 31 shots in the loss.

The Wildcats and Huskies play again Saturday at 3 p.m.
