Not a bad weekend for the UNH men's hockey team.

On the back end of a home-and-home series, the Wildcats tied No. 14 UMass Lowell 2-2 on Saturday night in Lowell, Mass. The tie came one night after the Wildcats beat Lowell 1-0 on Friday night in Durham.

Freshman defensemen Will MacKinnon netted his first college goal and fellow blue liner Max Gildon also scored as UNH (12-12-9 overall, 8-9-6 in Hockey East) broke the league record for ties in a season.

The point allowed UNH (22 points) to move closer to seventh-place Boston College (23 points), which lost 4-2 at Northeastern on Saturday night.

The River Hawks dropped to 18-11-4, 12-7-4 in Hockey East.

Sophomore goalie Mike Robinson, of Bedford, who blanked Lowell on Friday, stopped 19 shots. His counterpart, Tyler Wall, made 30 saves.

The Wildcats finish the regular season on Friday at Northeastern before hitting the road for a Hockey East quarterfinal series the following weekend.

Dartmouth 5, RPI 2: Will Graber had a hat trick and Drew O'Connor scored twice as the Big Green prevailed and finished in fifth place in the ECAC. Dartmouth will host No. 12 seed St. Lawrence in a first-round playoff series next weekend at Thompson Arena in Hanover.
