Tufts University junior Beth Krikorian was announced as the New England Small College Athletic Conference player of the week on Monday.
The midfielder from Windham scored the game-winning goal and helped set up the tying tally in the Jumbos' 2-1 victory at Williams College on Saturday in both teams' season opener.
Krikorian, a Phillips Academy of Andover, Mass., graduate, scored her game-winning unassisted goal with 3:23 remaining. She also fired the shot on goal that led to teammate Marguerite Salamone's game-tying rebound goal with 5:52 left.
Keene State College libero Olivia Mathieu was named the Little East Conference volleyball defensive player of the week. The Pinkerton Academy of Derry graduate totaled 103 digs and averaged 6.44 digs per set over a 4-1 week for the Owls last week. Mathieu currently ranks sixth in the country in digs (173).
