Liam Blackburn and Angus Crookshank each scored twice and the University of New Hampshire men’s hockey team skated to a 4-3 victory over the University of Guelph in an exhibition game at the Whittemore Center in Durham on Sunday night.
Mike Robinson (14 saves) and Ty Taylor (six) split the goaltending chores for the Wildcats, with Taylor picking up the win after entering the game in the second period.
Charlie Kelleher, William MacKinnon, Kalle Eriksson, Jackson Pierson, Benton Maass, Matt Dawson and Robby Griffin all notched assists for UNH.
The Wildcats begin their regular-season schedule next Friday night with the first of two weekend games at Miami of Ohio. Faceoff is at 7 p.m.
UNH plays five straight road games to start the season before hosting Boston College at the Whittemore Center on Nov. 1.
