Kylie Lorenzen had a monster game, scoring 31 points and grabbing 16 rebounds to lead the unbeaten Southern New Hampshire University women's basketball team past Merrimack College 59-55 on Tuesday night in North Andover, Mass.

Lorenzen, a senior forward from Holliston, Mass., was 14-for-28 from the field as the Penmen improved to 5-0 overall, 2-0 in the Northeast-10 Conference. Merrimack dropped to 4-2 and 0-2.

Saint Michael's 64, Franklin Pierce 65: In Colchester, Vt., the Ravens fell to 0-2 in the Northeast-10, 1-4 overall. Mya Mosley led FPU with 17 points. The Purple Knights improved to 1-2 and 2-3. 

Stonehill 74, Saint Anselm 65: In Goffstown, the Hawks (2-1 in the NE-10, 4-1 overall) suffered their first loss of the season despite Shannon Ryan's double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds. Stonehill improved to 4-1 and 2-1.

Endicott 58, Keene State 49: In Keene, Endicott scored the final 12 points of the game. Jasmin Mitchell and Abby Thut led KSC (1-4) with 10 points each.

Plymouth State 75, Colby-Sawyer 52: In New London, Jess Conant poured in 21 points to lead the Panthers (5-0). Londonderry's Brittany Roche added 14. Sunapee's Lexie Hamilton led CSC (2-2) with 16 points.

Men's basketball

Quinnipiac 69, UNH 63: In Durham, the Wildcats fell behind by 14 points at halftime and never recovered. Elijah Jordan (19), Jordan Reed (17) and Josh Hopkins (14) topped the score sheet for UNH (2-3).

Saint Anselm 92, Stonehill 66: In Goffstown, Chris Paul led the Hawks with 26 points and nine rebounds in their Northeast-10 opener. Gustav Suhr-Jessen added 19 and Tim Guers 18 for the Hawks (5-0), who play next at SNHU next Wednesday.

Merrimack 75, SNHU 69: In North Andover, Mass., Jaleel Lord scored five straight points to give Merrimack the lead for good with four minutes to play and the Warriors held off the Penmen in NE-10 action. Daquaise Andrews (24 points) and Eamonn Joyce (20) led SNHU, which dropped to 1-1 in the league and 3-2 overall.

Franklin Pierce 99, Saint Michael's 92: In Colchester, Vt., Doyin Fadojutimi scored 33 points lead the Ravens in their Northeast-10 Conference opener. FPU is 3-2 overall. 

Keene State 105, Albertus Magnus 96 (OT): In New Haven, Conn., Ty Nichols poured in 42 points to lift KSC (3-1).

Colby-Sawyer 80, Plymouth State 72: In New London, Manchester's Jourdain Bell and KJ Sinvrit scored 17 points each to pace the Chargers. Franklin's Dana Bean added 15. The all-Manchester cast of Jaylen Leroy (22 points), Manny Alisandro (11) and Joe Simpson (11) led PSU. CSC improved to 2-1 while the Panthers fell to 3-3.

New England College 107, Rivier 63: In Nashua, the Pilgrims stayed unbeaten. Ricky Leonard dropped in 20 points for NEC (4-0). Nate Hale scored 23 points for Rivier (1-5).

Men's hockey

Franklin Pierce 3, Framingham State 2: In Winchendon, Mass., the Ravens took a 3-0 lead in the second period and held on. Kyle Martin made 40 saves for the victory in goal.

Women's hockey

Amherst 3, NEC 1: In Henniker, the Pilgrims' Erica Lissner scored the game's first goal, but Amherst responded with three straight. NEC dropped to 1-7-1.
