The Southern New Hampshire University women's soccer team beat defending Division II national champ and second-ranked Bridgeport 5-3 on Sunday night in Hooksett.

Dorthea Glorud and Sydney Carney each notched a goal and two assists for the Penmen (2-0), and SNHU goalie Hannah Rose stopped 14 shots. 

Bridgeport is 0-2.

BC women top UNH in soccer

Host Boston College scored in the 61st and 77th minute to beat the University of New Hampshire 2-0 on Sunday in women’s soccer.

The Wildcats (3-3-0) visit Dartmouth on Thursday at 5 p.m.

SNHU women's field hockey wins, 8-0

Laura van der Doorn registed two goals and three assists to help the Southern New Hampshire University field hockey team past Converse College 8-0 on Sunday in Spartanburg, S.C.

Seabrook’s Cameron Whelan and Bedford’s Caroline Scott also scored for the Penmen (1-1), who play their home opener on Wednesday at 6 p.m. against St. Michael’s College.

UNH men rally to tie Syracuse, 2-2

Bilal Kamal and Donnett Sackie scored late in the second half as the University of New Hampshire men's soccer team rallied to tie host Syracuse, 2-2, on Sunday night.

The Wildcats had three shots on goal, to four for the Orange.

UNH is 2-0-2 and continues its road swing on Saturday at Fairfield.
