The Plymouth State University men’s hockey team will visit Hobart College in Geneva, N.Y., on Saturday at 7 p.m. for a first-round game in the NCAA Division III men’s hockey tournament.

The Panthers (17-7-3), who beat Salem State for the MASCAC tournament title, will be making their third NCAA tournament appearance but are searching for their first tourney win in school history.

Hobart is ranked No. 6 and No. 8 in two national polls. The Statesmen (19-7-2) received one of four at-large bids after falling to Norwich 2-1 in the championship game of the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) tournament. In its first NEHC tourney game, Hobart beat New England College 4-1.
