After enjoying their respective byes, the Saint Anselm College men's and women's basketball teams will take the court for Northeast-10 Conference quarterfinal games today.

The top-seeded and No. 18 ranked Hawks men host fourth-seeded Southern Connecticut State at Stoutenburgh Gymnasium today at 3 p.m.

The Saint Anselm women, who finished third in the NE-10 Northeast Division, will play at Adelphi, which is the second seed in the Southwest Division, today at the same time.

The Saint Anselm men enter the conference tournament on a five-game winning streak and owning a 22-4 overall record. They won the NE-10 regular-season crown with an 18-3 conference record, tying the program record for most conference wins in a season.

Southern Connecticut State (18-11, 12-8 NE-10) advanced by earning a 80-75 come-from-behind first-round win over fifth-seeded Stonehill on Friday. The Owls fell to Saint Anselm, 113-99, at home on Jan. 12.

The Saint Anselm women (18-8, 13-8 NE-10) went 3-4 last month while Adelphi (15-12, 12-8) won its last six regular-season games.

The Hawks beat Adelphi, 75-72, in Garden City, N.Y., on Jan. 12 and are 7-3 all-time against the Panthers.
